How To Register Your Child

FAQ

To help families, Saint Frances of Rome Parish gives $1000 of financial aid from the start. That is why tuition for one child is $4950 and not $5950.  But we recognize that some families will require further assistance to be able to give their child the best education by enrolling them our school. When a family registers their child, they are asked to fill out financial information in FACTS. The FACTS management system helps us determine how much financial aid a family may need.

There is both before school and after school care available for your child. Before school care begins at 7:00 a.m. and after school care is available from 2:40 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Costs are as follows:

  • Before school care: $4 a day per child
  • After school care: $45 a week or $9 a day per child

The required enrollment ages are as follows below. Your child must be on or before September 1st:

  • 3 years old for PreK 3
  • 4 years old for PreK 4
  • 5 years old for Kindergarten
  • 6 years old for First Grade

Saint Frances of Rome School has Preschool for All available; in short, your child may qualify for free half-day PreKindergarten (8:00 – 11:00 a.m.).  Families qualify based on financial need. To qualify, a family needs to be screened in a 60 minutes process (30 minutes for the parents, 30 minutes for the child) at the school. Families that qualify may also, with extra payment, keep their child in PreKindergarten the full day. For more information, contact the school office.

We do have a hot meals program. A hot lunch is available each day to students. There is a fee for this, however, some families may qualify for financial assistance with the hot meals program.

Yes, in order to provide the best education at an affordable price, we need the help of parents to raise funds for the school. Each family is required to:

  • Participate in a chocolate sale by selling one box of chocolates.
  • Sell 20 raffle tickets ($5 each for a total of $100) for the annual Mardi Gras Dinner Dance.
  • A $100 Spring fundraiser (TBA)

Yes, as the education and formation of Saint Frances of Rome is a work of parents, teachers, staff and the parish community, we require that each family give 15 hours of their time helping in school and/or parish events. This would include things such as helping at Mardi Gras, the parish Summer Fest, and other school events.
